Food policy councils reach 155+ cities and towns across Massachusetts including Gateway cities, rural areas, and urban centers. LFPC’s play a key role in food system coordination, communication, assessment, advocacy, and more. In 2025, network members:

  • Compiled & shared community food resources,
  • Responded in times of crisis by listening and sharing timely information aligned with community needs,
  • Advocated and shared calls to action in support of state policies that promote an equitable, resilient, sustainable, and connected local food system,
  • Assessed local food system needs,
  • Facilitated coordination and connection among food system partners, and more!
